In 2027, Meshuggah will celebrate four decades of musical history with 'The Forty-Year Anomaly', an ambitious tour that will include one date in Spain: October 21 at Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid. The band will be joined by two special guests: Periphery and Vildhjarta.

Since forming in Umeå, Sweden, in 1987, Meshuggah have built a career defined by innovation, experimentation and a unique vision of extreme metal. Widely regarded as true pioneers of the genre, they have redefined the boundaries of heavy music through their unmistakable combination of rhythmic complexity, polymetric riffs, dissonance and a crushing sound that has influenced generations of musicians.

Over nearly four decades, the Swedish quintet have built an essential discography for understanding the evolution of modern metal. Albums such as 'Destroy Erase Improve', 'Chaosphere' and 'Nothing' laid the foundations for their own distinctive musical language, which continued to evolve with releases such as 'Catch Thirtythree', 'obZen', 'Koloss' and 'The Violent Sleep of Reason'. Tracks like "Future Breed Machine", "Rational Gaze", "Bleed" and "Demiurge" have become true genre-defining classics.

Their most recent studio album, 'Immutable', released in 2022, reaffirmed their position as one of the most influential and innovative acts in contemporary metal. The album reached number one on the UK Rock & Metal charts and the US Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart, while also securing top-ten positions in countries such as Germany, Canada and Sweden. Their subsequent tour once again demonstrated the extraordinary impact of their live performances, where instrumental precision and perfectly synchronized audiovisual production turn every concert into an intensely powerful experience.
