SHRED FEST, the traveling festival devoted to the most technical and demanding extreme metal, will arrive in Spain in February 2027 with a run of dates that promise to become one of the most intense events of the year for fans of the genre.

As explained by Steffen Kummerer, leader of Obscura:

“2027 marks OBSCURA’s 25th anniversary, and we will kick off the year with the most extensive tour we have ever done across Europe and the United Kingdom. 39 shows with no days off — a true statement of intent. Remember: it’s not a tour if there’s a day off.”

SHRED FEST 2027 brings together some of the most prominent representatives of European extreme metal, with bands from France, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany. Alongside the legendary Dutch band Pestilence, the British vanguards Cryptic Shift, Denmark’s Thus with their progressive and melodic death metal, and the French outfit DVRK, we will be crossing the continent for weeks, culminating in a special concert in our hometown.

SHRED FEST will visit four Spanish cities in February 2027: Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Pamplona. These dates will be part of a tour conceived as a true physical and musical challenge, where every night matters and each band contributes its own identity to a collective experience designed to be lived from beginning to end.
