Faster Pussycat

From the depths of mid-80s Los Angeles, when glam was starting to blur and punk still left scars, Faster Pussycat emerged with an identity of their own: dirty, provocative, and with no intention of fitting in. Led by Taime Downe, a true icon of sleaze, the band built a sound halfway between street attitude and the most hedonistic excess.

Their self-titled debut laid the foundation with tracks like "Babylon", "Bathroom Wall" and "Cathouse", which became instant classics of the scene. Their appearance in the documentary 'Decline Of The Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years' helped cement their legend during the height of the Sunset Strip. Far from following trends, they shared the road with names like Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, Alice Cooper and Motörhead, proving that what they did went far beyond labels.

With 'Wake Me When It’s Over' they achieved their greatest commercial success thanks to "House Of Pain", while later works like 'Whipped!' showed an evolution toward darker territories. After their initial breakup, Taime Downe kept the flame alive until reactivating the band in the 2000s, with a rawer aesthetic and an even sharper attitude.

Since then, Faster Pussycat has never stopped touring, consolidating an intense, decadent and uncompromising live show. Classics, excess and pure attitude: an essential date for lovers of the wildest hard rock.

On September 17, Faster Pussycat will perform at Totem in Pamplona, and on September 19 at the Rock The Sun festival held at La Carpa del Poble Espanyol in Barcelona.
